My dad said that the personal computer changed his life when he got his own computer in 6th grade. He thinks the personal computer was significant because it helped him write his school papers instead of using a tipewriter especially when he needs to make more than one copy. The computer helped him look for information instead of flipping though books. It also helped him print out pictures instead of drawing them.
ReplyDeleteMy mom said that the computer changed her life because before there was a computer, sending a letter would take a few days instead of taking a few seconds. Doss is a word processing document.
ReplyDeleteMy dad thought cell phones were a difference. They were usually owned by rich people or people who work in major business. He said that they were flip phones, large enough NOT to fit it in your pocket,no video,Motorola ,black, push button-no touch. He said they we were still useful any way.

An important invention that changed my grandma's life was satellite t.v. so she can watch Japanese live news and shows. Also, the invention of the internet has allowed her to communicate to her family through emails and to stay updated using the Yahoo International Japan website.
ReplyDeleteAn Important invention for my grandpa was getting a private telephone line after years of sharing the phone line with three other families. Another invention that changed my grandpa's life was the first black and white t.v. (1952) so he could watch shows from all over the world instead of just listening to them on the radio.

ReplyDeleteMy aunt thinks that the computer was a big change because the typewriter was hard to use. If you messed up with a typewriter you had to go through a big deal to fix it. With a computer it is very easy to fix mistakes because you can use the backspace key.
My mom said that a lot of things made life easier or more fun. One thing that made life easier was the microwave oven, it allowed people to heat up food in just seconds. ReplyDeleteMy Dad thinks that cell phones are an item that changed us because now people can easily communicate with others. It allows people to communicate with others on the go.Also my family's life wouldn't be the same without them because he works for Verizon.
